On January 12, 2020 at 1:40 pm police were dispatched to 1850 North State Route 72 for a two-car motor vehicle accident with one of the vehicles on fire. A subsequent investigation determined that Patrick E. Embry was operating a white 2008 Cadillac CTS north bound on State Route 72 at a high rate of speed and passed three vehicles using the south bound lane. Embry attempted to pass another vehicle and as a result, struck a south bound vehicle head on. The driver of the other car sustained life threatening injuries. Embry was determined to be under the influence of alcohol and cocaine at the time of the accident. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Embry should submit a tip through Crimewatch.
