Parking
The police department is empowered by both Borough Ordinance and the Commonwealth Motor Vehicle Code to issue parking tickets for various parking violations. Some of these include, but are not limited to:
- Handicapped Parking
- Blocking Alley/Driveway
- Facing Traffic
- Fire Lane
- More than 12 inches from the curb
- No Parking Zone
- Parking on Private Property
- Parking on Sidewalk
- Snow Emergency Route
- Street Sweeping
- Too close to fire hydrant
- Too close to intersection/crosswalk
A parking ticket must be paid within 48 hours of the issue date to the Police Department. Payment can be mailed in the mailer, paid in person at the police department, or placed in the after hours drop box at the Municipal Building.
Failure to pay the parking ticket within 48 hours will result in the ticket being sent to the District Justice and additional charges will be added to the fine.
